Agiltron Ultrafast Fiber Optic Photodetectors deliver high-fidelity optical detection with a clean impulse response as fast as 11 ps FWHM, covering wavelengths from 700 nm to 1650 nm and bandwidths from 7 GHz to 50 GHz. The detectors are available with single-mode (SMF-28, Ø9 µm) or multimode (OM4, Ø50 µm) fiber, terminated with FC/PC or FC/APC connectors. Each unit provides a DC-coupled analog RF output via an SMA-compatible 2.92 mm connector or female 1.85 mm connector. The core sensing element is a fiber-coupled, hermetic microwave photodetector, which is also available as a standalone component for OEM integration. The complete module integrates the detector into a rugged aluminum housing with associated driver electronics for plug-and-play operation and includes a low-noise external power supply. All units are individually tested and supplied with S-parameter files, with frequency response characterized up to 40 GHz, enabling seamless integration into high-speed optical and microwave measurement systems.
