This UV intensity meter is regularly reconfigured to measure low UV light intensity from 4 to 40mW/cm2 in the UV-AB bands. For higher power measurements or other UV bands, please see other versions.
When pressing the “green” button to turn ON the power, we display comes alive. If any digits appear when the cover is on, press the “Zero” button so that only zeros display. Remove the cap and expose the sensor head to UV radiation; the intensity will appear on the display. Press the “UNIT” button to switch from 0000 mW/cm2 to 00.00 mW/cm2 or back forth. When the “HOLD” switch is pressed, the measurement is frozen. The instrument has an LCD display back illumination light switch for viewing in a dim environment. Press the button, and the backlight lights on, which turns off after 30 seconds to save battery power. Press the “green” button once again to turn OFF the power and put the device into sleep mode.
