The BFAD Bare Fiber Terminator and compatible connectors are used to temporarily terminate a bare fiber with common fiber connector styles. The reusable BFAD has jackets from Ø125 µm to Ø1400 µm and is secured on the other end using a spring-loaded clamp with rubber grips to minimize stress on the fiber. We offer various connectors for terminating single-mode or multimode fibers. Custom bore diameters are also available.

The BFAD is well suited to coupling light into a detector or fiber end scope with a matched connector. We offer low cost so that customers can conveniently have a variety of BFAD Bare Fiber Terminators in their fiber tool kit without worrying about blocking or interchanging.
