The OCPM Series Optical Channel Power Monitor is designed to provide high-performance optical power monitoring with a large channel count, excellent detection sensitivity uniformity, high measurement accuracy, a wide dynamic range, and a cost-effective design. The system offers exceptional flexibility with configurations for both direct detection, which provides maximum sensitivity, and tap monitoring for in-line pass-through applications. For multimode fiber applications, the OCPM offers an optional Mode Fill measurement capability using Coupled Power Ratio (CPR). Because multimode optical power measurements are highly dependent on launch conditions and mode fill, measuring the CPR together with optical power provides measurement repeatability and consistency. Its fully passive optical architecture enables signal monitoring without affecting the transmitted signal and supports optical signals with bandwidths up to 100 GHz. The OCPM Series is available in 1U, 2U, 4U, and 6U rack-mount platforms to accommodate a wide range of channel counts and system requirements. It supports USB and RS-232 communication interfaces and includes an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) for simple operation, monitoring, and system control. In addition to in-line network monitoring, the OCPM Series can also be used as a high-performance laboratory optical power meter for test and measurement applications. Custom hardware and software configurations are available to meet specific customer and application requirements.
