Polarization Maintaining Fiber Coupled Benchtop Lasers
Agiltron offers single-mode and polarization-maintaining fiber-coupled laser sources covering a wide spectral range from 350 nm to 2000 nm. Each benchtop laser source integrates a fiber-pigtailed Fabry-Perot or DFB laser diode with a controller. The basic model features a constant current controller, providing stable laser output power in a consistent operational environment, making it the most cost-effective option for a laser without a power monitor. An optional integrated optical isolator is available to prevent reflection-induced laser cavity instability, which can cause mode hopping, power fluctuations, increased noise, spectral linewidth broadening, and potential damage to the laser. Agiltron uniquely produces isolators that cover all wavelengths. For enhanced performance, a thermoelectric cooler (TEC) option is available for all models to stabilize the laser wavelength, increase output power, and extend the laser’s longevity. An external TEC can be added for laser diodes that do not include an internal TEC. Additionally, an auto-output power controller is available, which uses feedback from a laser output monitor to maintain constant laser power output despite environmental temperature variations. For applications requiring stable laser output across varying environments or extended periods, it is recommended to select all available options: TEC, isolator, and auto-feedback. The front panel of each laser source displays the output power in mW, laser temperature in degrees, an on/off key, an enable button, and knobs for adjusting laser power and temperature. The back panel includes a universal power supply compatible with 100 to 240 VAC and a remote interlock input.
