The FOTF-EM series motor-driven optical tunable filters are highly versatile, supporting free-space, multimode, and single-mode operation, unlike traditional etalon- or grating-based tunable filters that typically work only with single-mode fiber. Based on a proprietary edge-filter platform, these filters are available with center wavelengths ranging from 350 nm to 2450 nm. They provide continuous wavelength tuning over ranges up to 100 nm with an approximate 5 nm linewidth. Wavelength tuning is performed by a built-in precision stepper motor, controlled through USB or RS232 interfaces. The design offers high reliability, low insertion loss, and cost-effective performance, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Standard wavelength configurations are produced in volume to ensure cost efficiency, while custom wavelengths are available at additional cost. The thin-film filter structure also incorporates blocking layers to suppress off-band transmission, ensuring improved spectral performance.

Agiltron’s Manual Grating-Based Fiber Optic Tunable Filter provides a simple way to adjust the center wavelength of a narrow band over a wide band. Wavelength tuning is achieved by rotating a grating using a micrometer.
Based on proprietary optics, Agiltron offers extremely low insertion loss, high stability, polarization-independent operation, and high off-band suppression. It is tunable continuously over a wide spectral range. The device presents a most cost-effective solution for OEM applications from fiber optic networks to fiber sensing interrogation.

This series of Electrically Tunable Grating-Based Fiber Optic Tunable Filters offers an exceptionally wide tuning range of over 150 nm, low insertion loss (~1.5 dB), and a narrow linewidth of 0.7 to 1.0 nm. The tunable passing band features a Gaussian-shaped peak and is continuously adjustable across a wide spectral range via a grating rotated by a micro-step motor. Wavelength tuning is controlled through a USB or RS232 interface with a GUI, and a 5V DC power supply is included. Utilizing proprietary optics, Agiltron ensures high repeatability, with options for polarization-independent or polarization-dependent operation and strong off-band suppression.

Agiltron’s ITU Channel Tunable Filter provides computer-selectable wavelength passband control over telecom ITU grid channels through a USB/RS232 interface with a user-friendly GUI. Configurations are available for up to 22 CWDM channels, 80 DWDM channels at 100 GHz spacing, and 96 DWDM channels at 50 GHz spacing. The design employs passive WDM components to ensure excellent channel accuracy, low distortion, and high-fidelity spectral profiles.

Agiltron offers Fiber Optic MEMS Tunable Filters with central wavelengths of 1060nm, 1310nm, 1550nm, and 2000nm. It is tunable continuously over a spectral range of up to 80nm at a speed of about 80ms. The wavelength tuning is actuated by driving a rotating MEMS mirror that is optically coupled with a grating and a dual fiber collimator. It is conveniently controlled with user-friendly GUI and control interfaces of USB or RS232.

This series of Manual Grating-Based Fiber Optic Tunable Filters offers an exceptionally wide tuning range of exceeding 150 nm, low insertion loss (~1.5 dB), and a narrow linewidth of approximately 0.7 nm. Wavelength tuning is conveniently achieved by rotating a grating with a micrometer. Utilizing proprietary optics, Agiltron ensures high stability, with options for polarization-independent or polarization-dependent operation and strong off-band suppression. The tunable passing band has a Gaussian-shaped peak and is adjustable across a wide spectral range, providing a cost-effective solution for laboratory applications.
