The FBG Series fiber optic gratings are fabricated by periodically and permanently altering the refractive index of the fiber core using high-power laser irradiation. This process results in low optical loss and cost-effective performance. We specialize in manufacturing customized FBGs tailored to your specific requirements. In addition, we offer matching optical circulators to route the reflected signal into a third fiber port, enabling efficient signal processing. Our standard FBGs are packaged in a thermally stable material that minimizes sensitivity to temperature fluctuations. For sensing applications, we also provide special packaging designed to remain sensitive to environmental perturbations such as strain or vibration.
The FGB default configuration is a notch filter. By incorporating a fiber circulator, it can be configured as a bandpass filter, or a three-port module that contains both notch and bandpass filter functions.
