Precision Neutral Density Fiber VOA – Latching

The HPNA Series VOA is based on moving a variable neutral density filter between two fiber collimators along with a shutter. It is designed for high precision and high fidelity measurements with little optical mode dependence. Conventional light deflections and blockings will affect light transmission characteristics, but the neutral density filter overcomes this by absorbing the light. The HPNA has two built-in optical position sensors so that once the VOA attenuation value is set, it will remain at the value regardless of the environment variations. It has a high repeatability of 0.05dB and a high resolution. The shutter offers >60dB blocking for calibration. It is available with SM, MM, and PM fiber.
The VOA integrates with a USB or RS232 driving PCB with GUI. A wall pluggable power supply is provided.
