Abstract:

Introduction Wavelength division multiplexed passive optical network (WDM-PON) can provide large transmission capacity and is an attractive implementation for future broadband access. With the rapid increase of transmission capacity of access networks, survivability becomes significant since any failure may disrupt a large amount of transmission data.
