Ultrabroad Single Mode Fiber Coupled Laser: 1300-4500nm, Supercontinuum

The MSUP Series is a turnkey, ultra-broadband supercontinuum laser source that spans from 1.3 μm to 4.5 μm, delivering over 0.3 W of average optical power with exceptional spatial coherence and stability. Based on a pulsed fiber laser pumping a photonic crystal fiber (PCF), it provides single-mode output across the entire spectral range. Output options include bare fiber or collimated beam, with an optional tunable filter for wavelength selection. Featuring adjustable output power via front-panel controls or USB GUI, the benchtop unit offers plug-and-play operation, making it an ideal replacement for thermal and lamp-based sources in applications such as gas spectroscopy, molecular fingerprinting, environmental sensing, and mid-IR imaging.

The switching speed is faster than 100ns with repetition rate up to 1MHz.  High optical power up to 5W is also available.

Fiber Optical Electric-Field Readout System

Photonic Electric Field Sensing System (PEFS) is an instrument that optically measures the electric field. It integrates a fiber optic E-field sensor probe, a laser, a photo-receiver, an amplifier module, and associated electronics. The probe connects to the system via two fibers. The sensor system covers a broad frequency range from 10 MHz to 40 GHz. The E-field intensity is proportional to the readout signal. The amplifier gains are adjustable to optimize the sensitivity and the dynamic ranges. The E-field frequency information can be obtained by connecting to a spectrum analyzer or a frequency-tunable filter. A multichannel system is available with the configurations of either switching among the sensor heads or simultaneously reading all heads at once using independent laser and detector sets. The fiber optic EOFS and PEFS form an E-field sensor system that provides advanced attributes of fast response, extremely high damage threshold exceeding 5 MV/m, high fidelity with little disturbance to the E-field, and remote sensing capability.

Sr. MEMS IC Process Engineer

Hands on experience in developing MEMS fabrication/production process is sought after. Optical MEMS structure fabrication and in-depth knowledge of various tools are big plus.

Sr. Scientist – R&D

The Senior Scientist position is open to an expert in optical devices, sensors, and/or nano-materials. Work will involve the development and commercialization of funded R&D. Proposal writing skill is a plus.

MEMS design and process engineer

Provide engineering expertise in product research, design, development, testing, and improvement. Specifically,
•   Research and develop innovative MEMS structure based optical tunable filter for wavelength selection, and optimize the existing process for current products to improve the chip quality and product yield;
•   Test and record each single MEMS chip performance including chip driving voltage, resistance, surface roughness, mechanical displacement, mirror curvature;
•   Collaborate with electrical engineer to optimize the chip electrical properties and finalize the driving circuit and power supply system after integrate MEMS chip on the circuit;
•   Access, analyze and transform large product performance and process data in the semiconductor/MEMS and electronic manufacturing environment;
•   Coordinate with equipment engineer to troubleshoot the microfabrication process related equipment issues in cleanroom. Improve the performance of equipment, adjust process recipe parameters to improve the MEMS chip quality and hence yield of product;
•   Define technical requirements and write procedures for production to process product.

Requirements:
•   Master’s degree in EE or Optical Engineering
•   Must be highly skilled in microfabrication process, MEMS design, thin film deposition and electrical properties measurement
•   Must be highly efficient in using COMSOL, AutoCAD, Matlab and statistical analysis software
